Darlena Jones | Director of Assessment & Research

Darlena has spent her entire higher education career working to improve student success. Upon completion of a Ph.D. in physics, she was a faculty member before joining a technology company, where she led the national benchmarking assessment division; helping develop its early alert student success platform. In 2014, Darlena joined AIR to direct its research, assessment, and evaluation initiatives. She also leads the development of AIR’s new educational offerings.
Charlie McCumber | Director of Finance

Charlie, a certified public accountant, provides oversight of the day to day execution of the Associations accounting policies, procedures, and controls. He manages monthly and year-end accounting procedures, financial statements preparation, audit preparation, tax-compliance, corporate insurance, and human resources. Charlie also works with the CFO to establish budgets, develop sound accounting and compliance policies, and complete other projects as required.

With her extensive knowledge and experience in member engagement, Laurie leads our efforts in managing AIR’s engagement with its members, including recruitment, renewals, retention, and volunteer opportunities. Laurie co-develops and manages membership strategy and resources and connects members to volunteer opportunities that help AIR accomplish its mission. Like AIR members, Laurie loves data, and she uses it to inform the work of the Member Engagement Team.

In her 30-year career, H.A. has developed a passion for creating meetings and events that are lauded by attendees while appearing effortless. Her experience in higher education and association management and expertise in event planning enable her to lead AIR’s conference and special events, including strategic coordination of our annual Forum. In addition, H.A. provides direction and expertise for all of AIR’s promotions, meetings, and event functions.
Tinsley Smith | Director of Contracts

Tinsley manages the development, maintenance, and delivery of the educational content for the IPEDS Contract across three delivery methods: online tutorials, online courses, and face-to-face workshops. Tinsley serves as the primary contact for the IPEDS Educator cohort, the NCES Data Institute, and the AccessLex Institute/AIR Research and Dissertation Fellows Program.

Meg serves as the primary contact and manager for AIR’s IPEDS Workshops. She provides logistical support and meeting coordination for co-hosting organizations, instructors, and workshop participants. Additionally, she coordinates and prioritizes activities and tasks associated with the lifecycle of existing IPEDS online and face-to-face educational content and assists IPEDS Team members in the development of new educational content.
Elaine Cappellino | Education Operations Manager
Elaine manages the day-to-day operations of AIR's educational products and services which deliver training to consumers in support of data-informed decision cultures. She directs the registration, customer relations, and user support processes for courses, webinars, and seminars. Elaine collaborates with other units to provide exceptional educational experiences. 
Emily Coggeshall | Education Coordinator
Emily serves as registrar for AIR’s online courses and webinars. She provides technical assistance to the education team in the delivery of key training opportunities which support evidence-based decision making.

Guillermo Farfan | Education Project Assistant

Guillermo assists with reporting the assessment portion of all face-to-face IPEDS Workshops and online IPEDS Keyholder courses. He also provides support for new educational content. Guillermo is currently a doctoral student in Educational Psychology.
Michelle Fitzgerald | Project Assistant
Michelle supports IPEDS face-to-face meeting activities including communication, research, and meeting coordination. She also serves as a point of contact for IPEDS Workshop related requests and confirmations. Michelle coordinates with the IPEDS Team to collect information for creating and updating reports.
Kyndra Freeman | Senior Meeting Planner

Kyndra plans and executes small and large meetings for the Association, including board meetings, seminars, and ad hoc meetings. Kyndra also assists with carrying out the world's largest gathering of IR professionals, the AIR Forum. In this capacity, Kyndra handles sponsor coordination, venue selection, logistics, room block management, and creative theming. Kyndra enjoys helping members and sponsors get the most from their meeting and event experiences.

With a nearly 30-year background in corporate communications and marketing, Lisa uses her strong writing skills and communications savvy to enhance AIR’s branding and communication strategy. She is responsible for writing email messages, as well as copy for web pages, print pieces, and social media. Lisa also coordinates the production of AIR's monthly electronic newsletter, e-AIR, and various print media.

In addition, Ashley's work in storyboarding and illustration help further AIR's online educational presence. She has focused on promotion and communication for higher education and non-profit organizations for over 10 years.
Laura Jakiel | Education Project Assistant

Laura helps develop educational resources for IR professionals, with a specific emphasis on online professional development training courses. Her main focus is on the creation of online professional development for the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) datasets and tools, and IR resources. She has a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and Information Technology, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology.

In this role, she has three main areas of responsibility: data collection, quality control, and analysis; coordination of membership engagement activities; and membership communication and customer service.

A Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Laura uses her event planning skills to manage and coordinate the largest event of the year, the AIR Forum. In this role, she serves as the point of contact for all presenters and sponsors, as well as coordinating vendors, hotel and venue selection, and logistics. Laura also plans and supports other AIR meetings and gatherings, including meeting planning and assisting in contract negotiation.
Miguel Pineirovigo | Operations Coordinator & Executive Assistant to the CEO
Miguel provides administrative support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors by scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, arranging travel, and more. Miguel handles a wide variety of tasks to support AIR staff and members, including maintaining the AIR Job Board.
Tiffany Robinson | IT Coordinator
